Day 183 - Texas Summer Sizzle

I've lived in Texas all my life.  Born and Bred. I can't imagine living anywhere else.  Everything in Texas is BIGGER. And better.  Except for summer.  Bleh.  These are the days I wished I lived almost anywhere BUT here.  We usually don't see these temps til late July and deep into August, but lucky us got to start the scorchings in mid-June this year. Yippee-Skippy.  Makes me long for my fetish of fall even more.  I heart pumpkins.  Not dead grass.

  1. We're home and digging out from beach sand and dirty laundry. It was a chillier than normal week on Lake MI this year. I don't think I want your Texas temps but it would have been nice to break into the 80s occasionally. Have a lovely 4th of July weekend!

  2. I survived living in Coppell for over four years. I loved my friends in Texas, but I did five, count them, five Texas summers. I just couldn't handle it. When it hit 117 in 2006, I decided it was time to move back to Oregon.
